About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Scheduling Team Leader to lead our ACT-based scheduling team supporting critical gas services operations.

In this role, you will oversee a team of four schedulers responsible for coordinating field crews across planned and reactive maintenance, construction, metering and high-pressure gas works. Working closely with field leaders, supervisors and operational stakeholders, you will ensure resources are effectively planned, scheduled and deployed to deliver safe, efficient and customer-focused outcomes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will not only support and develop your team but also assist with day-to-day scheduling activities when required. You will play a key role in optimising field resources, responding to changing operational priorities and identifying opportunities to improve processes and performance.

The role offers the opportunity to work across diverse operational workstreams within a close-knit team, bringing fresh ideas and helping shape scheduling outcomes that support essential services.





This is a 12-months fixed-term opportunity.

- Lead, coach and develop a team of four schedulers.
- Coordinate and optimise field resources across maintenance, construction and metering programs.
- Ensure effective daily planning, scheduling, dispatch and completion of work.
- Build strong working relationships with field leaders and key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency and service delivery.
- Assist with short and medium-term workforce and resource planning.

About You

You are a collaborative leader who enjoys working with both operational and corporate stakeholders to deliver results. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can balance competing priorities and are always looking for ways to improve processes and performance.

- Experience leading, mentoring or coaching teams within an operational environment.
- Scheduling, workforce planning, resource coordination or related operational experience.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to influence positive change.
- Experience within utilities, infrastructure, field services, maintenance, construction or similar operational industries.
- Experience coordinating field-based workforces and using workforce management systems.
