About the role

Inspiring Homecare Pty Ltd is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Assistant to support clients with their daily personal care needs in their homes. You will work with the care team to provide support that respects each client's dignity, independence, cultural background and individual choices.

Key responsibilities

- Assist clients with showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and other personal hygiene needs.

- Support safe mobility, transfers and positioning using appropriate equipment and manual handling techniques.

- Assist with meals, eating and drinking in accordance with individual care plans.

- Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients about their daily needs, preferences and wellbeing.

- Follow individual care plans and contribute observations to care planning and reviews.

- Observe and promptly report changes in clients' health, behaviour or wellbeing to the appropriate supervisor.





- Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with colleagues.

- Provide companionship and support participation in daily activities.

- Follow infection prevention, workplace safety, privacy and safeguarding procedures.

About you

- Spoken Mandarin proficiency sufficient to communicate clearly with clients about personal care, daily needs and wellbeing.

- Certificate III in Individual Support or another relevant qualification accepted by the employer.

- Practical skills in personal care, protected manual handling and infection prevention.

- English communication and writing skills sufficient for care records, handovers and workplace instructions.

- A patient, respectful approach and the ability to work independently and within a care team.
