This has resulted in the creation of several new roles to add to our talented established team.

Role Overview:

Merit's Technology Lead is responsible for the end to end design of Merit's proprietary software, from architecture to leading and developing the capability of our small development team, project management, feature prioritisation and bringing Merit's legacy local server based platforms into state of the art cloud based platforms in readiness for our clients future needs.

As a senior technology leader, you will be experienced in working with legacy systems and have transitioned them into modern architecture. you'll also be experienced in AI based coding and automated testing, driving speed and efficiency in current feature development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical leadership to the development team

- Build the architecture and plan to transition Merit's legacy .NET server based technology into a modern cloud based solution

- Project manage all existing system feature development as well as the development of replacement platforms

- Prioritise feature development with the Product Account Manager, takinging into account client priorities and commercial outcomes

- Ensure effective documentation around feature development and reporting against development milestones





- Lead UX design to ensure an excellent customer and client experience

- Introduce AI coding and testing tools and capability with the team, ensuring high quality outcomes mand governance

- Uplift an existing 32-Bit to 64 Bit technology for Merits workflow and CRM application

Ideally you will have experience in:

- Leading and developing small, high performing software development teams

- Experiencing in transitioning legacy, server based platforms into modern architecture

- Experience in Web technologies and PowerBuilder is highly desirable

- Experience in .NET technology is essential

- Demonstrated record in implementing pragmatic approaches to agile and waterfall project management methodologies

- Demonstrated record in delivering features on time and budget

- Strong capability in UX and user centered design

- Experiencing in leading and uplifting the capability of a highly experienced development team

- Expertise in developing API's to integrate with other platforms

Candidate's Qualifications and Competencies:

- Bachelor's degree, ideally in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

- Expertise in AI development and testing tools and methodologies

- Expertise in confluence and agile software development practices and tools

- Self-starter/self-driven with the ability to work independently and remotely whilst collaborating with team members

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a natural empathy for developers and their needs and the ability to explain technical solutions to non technical people
