The State Valuation Service is seeking a Principal Valuer (PO5) to lead valuation activities across the Central West region. Reporting to the Central Area Manager, you will provide expert valuation leadership and deliver statutory, land administration, asset and market valuations that support government services and land-related decision-making across Queensland.

In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of valuers, oversee complex valuation projects, apply advanced analysis to technical issues and exercise delegated authority on behalf of the Valuer-General. You will manage work programs, monitor performance against client service standards, provide advice on emerging valuation issues, represent the State Valuation Service with stakeholders, and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement. The role also includes resolving valuationrelated grievances, preparing Land Court briefs and appearing as an expert witness when required.

Success in this role will be demonstrated through strong technical valuation expertise, sound judgement, effective stakeholder engagement, leadership of a geographically dispersed team and the delivery of quality outcomes in a complex operating environment.
