About the role
ADEC is seeking a qualified Support Worker to provide care and assistance to Greek, Italian, or Arabic speaking clients in Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. This is a Casual role with flexibility in scheduling to support the needs of our clients who needs support at home through short shifts.
What you'll be doing
- Providing personal care and support to elderly.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, and transportation.
- Engaging clients in social and recreational activities to improve their quality of life.
- Advocating for client needs and communicating with family members and healthcare providers.
- Maintaining accurate client records and documentation.
What we're looking for
- Greek, Italian, or Arabic language proficiency.
- Conversational level English language fluency is required.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
- Experience providing care and support to the elderly or clients with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to client-centred care.
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
