A rare opportunity has arisen to join our Languages faculty as a teacher of Japanese for the 2027 school year. This is a contract position to cover 12 months of leave for one of our current teachers. The contract can be full-time or part-time, depending on the preference of the successful candidate.

Applications are encouraged from teachers with experience in delivering the QCE and ACARA syllabus for Japanese. The position is due to commence on the 20th of January through until the end of the school year.

Good Shepherd is a co-educational Prep to Year 12 Lutheran College that serves the families of the breathtakingly beautiful Noosa district on the Sunshine Coast. Selection Criteria

1. Commitment to Christian Education and support of college ethos.

2. Demonstrated subject specific expertise and teaching experience in Years 6-12.

3. An understanding of the particular needs of students and demonstrated skills in meeting these needs in the context of the classroom and in pastoral care.

4. Demonstrated skills in and understanding of the development and implementation of units of work, including the use of documented planning and assessment procedures to ensure high standards of learning occur.

5. Demonstrated personal and interpersonal skills that strengthen effective partnerships with parents and staff.
