POSITION

The position of Group Financial Controller has been created due to the company looking to internalize their finance function.

This role will involve and not be limited to:

- Work under an experienced team of Directors
- Initially work in a standalone capacity with a view of building out the finance team in the short to medium term
- Preparation and ongoing management of the company's finance function
- Liaising with external accountants
- Maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and financial institutions
- Group financial accounting, project accounting, cashflow and treasury, tax compliance and statutory compliance, Payroll, AP, AR
- Strategic tax planning
- Group structure and entity management
- Systems and controls
- Transaction support

CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

- CA/CPA Qualified




- 10+ years' accounting experience (minimum of 5 years exposure to the construction + property development industries)
- Ability to work in an multi entity environment (20+)
- Experience with complex private group structures
- QBCC MFR and development finance reporting experience
- Strong experience with GST, Payroll Tax, Div 7A, Land Tax and Tax consolidations
- Experience building out a finance team
- Very reliable employment history
- Ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Energetic and motivated personality with great multi-tasking
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- A team player who can roll up their sleeves and get the work done
