We are excited to be reopening our Waste Transfer Station later this year and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Waste Transfer Station Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of this significant community facility.
This is a unique prospect to play a key leadership role from the beginning, helping establish a safe, effective and customer-focused operation while leading a team of Waste Transfer Station Operators.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys working outdoors, leading people and delivering high-quality services to the community.
In this role you will have the following accountabilities:
Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Waste Transfer Station.
Coordinate and support a team of Waste Transfer Station Operators.
Ensure safe and efficient site operations, including traffic management, waste handling and recycling activities.
Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
Schedule workloads and allocate resources to meet operational requirements.
Maintain accurate operational records and performance reporting.
Deliver outstanding customer service to residents, contractors and site users.
Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.




Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:
Experience working within a waste management, transfer station, landfill or similar operational environment.
Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Experience operating plant and equipment, particularly Front-End Loaders.
Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
A commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
The Important Stuff!
In addition to a base salary of
$89,000 per annum
, you'll receive weekend penalty rates for all Saturday and Sunday shifts, increasing the overall value of the remuneration package.
Work Schedule:
Permanent full-time position.
Fixed roster of Thursday to Monday every week.
Enjoy two consecutive weekdays off each week.
Weekend penalty rates apply in accordance with the applicable industrial agreement.
