Organisation.
Our client is a growing Australian consumer products business turning over more than $30m, operating across wholesale, retail and e-commerce.
The business manages multiple brands and product categories, with a model spanning importing, inventory, wholesale distribution, direct to consumer and supply into major Australian retailers.
Role.
This is a newly created Head of Finance position reporting directly to the CEO.
The brief is pretty clear.
They need someone who can come in, get across the detail quickly and clean up areas of the finance function that need attention.
This will be a very hands on role.
In a business of this size, you will not have large teams underneath you or layers to delegate through.
The upside is ownership.
You will have the opportunity to shape how finance operates and build the function as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities.
Partner directly with the CEO and broader operational teams
Own month end, management reporting and group consolidations
Improve financial controls, reconciliations and reporting disciplines
Manage cash flow,



working capital and the rolling 13 week forecast
Lead budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis
Improve inventory, landed cost and gross margin reporting
Oversee AP, AR, payroll, compliance and year end requirements
About You.
CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting foundations
Head of Finance, Financial Controller or robust Finance Manager background
Experience owning finance end to end within a smaller business
Comfortable being hands on and personally resolving finance issues
Strong MYOB, month end, cash flow and balance sheet capability
Retail, wholesale, distribution, ecommerce or inventory experience highly regarded
This role will suit someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and taking ownership.
If you have worked in a smaller environment where you have had to understand everything happening across finance, there is plenty here to get stuck into and improve.
