St Francis Flexible School Hobart and Wynyard offers a full-time and multiyear secondary education program for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling.
Flexible Schools respond with a variety of flexible and innovative teaching and learning practices, including vocational planning and the development of social connectedness.
St Francis Flexible School is establishing a current campus in Wynyard in ****, initially providing a flexible and highly supported educational environment for young people in Years 7–10, before expanding to include Years 11 and 12 from ****.
About the Role
The Campus Manager will be the campus's sole administrator and a key member of the Campus Leadership Team.
We are seeking a skilled and versatile all-round administrator with leadership experience who can take ownership of a broad range of operational and administrative responsibilities.
This role will be particularly key during the campus's establishment and early growth, helping to build effective systems, processes and routines that support a well organised, responsive and welcoming campus.
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and adaptable Campus Manager to join our foundation team and play a key role in establishing the systems, processes and operational foundations of our new campus.
As the sole campus-based administrator, the Campus Manager will be a skilled all-rounder who is comfortable taking ownership of a diverse range of responsibilities.
The position will work closely with the Head of Campus and will be an important member of the Campus Leadership Team, along with maintaining key working relationships across both campuses.
This is much more than a traditional school administration role.
During the establishment and early growth of the campus, the Campus Manager will help turn plans into effective day-to-day operations, developing practical local systems and ensuring the campus is organised, safe, welcoming and responsive to the needs of young people, families and staff.
The role will have broad responsibility across areas including:
day-to-day campus administration and operational coordination
enrolment administration and management of student and campus records




establishment and ongoing development of administrative systems and processes
facilities, maintenance, procurement and asset coordination
transport, IT and other operational services
workplace health and safety, emergency preparedness and compliance processes
recruitment administration, local staff onboarding and induction
contractor and service-provider coordination
correspondence, reporting and operational communication
providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for young people, families, visitors and community members
About You
We are particularly interested in someone who brings strong administrative capability together with leadership experience.
You will need to be comfortable working independently, exercising initiative and judgement, prioritising competing demands and solving problems as they arise.
The successful applicant will be someone who enjoys creating order, building systems and making things work.
You will be equally comfortable managing detailed administrative requirements, coordinating people and services, responding to unexpected operational issues, and contributing to broader campus planning.
Experience in education would be advantageous but is not essential.

Requirements
Relevant certificate/diploma or administration experience
Experience working in a school environment.
Understanding of service provision to marginalised young people particularly within the alternate education sector.
High level of verbal and written communication skills, including participating in meeting processes, report writing and negotiation skills.
Comprehensive experience with computer applications such as databases, word processing, spreadsheets,



e-mail and web technology is essential.
Ability to work to deadlines, multi-task, prioritise the workload, work autonomously and in an integrated manner as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
Tasmanian Working with Children Clearance Notice or ability to obtain First Aid qualification is preferred.
