This is a hands-on HR role suited to an experienced HR professional who is confident working directly with managers and employees and understands the challenges of a workforce-based business.
About the Role
Working closely with the business, you will provide practical HR support across the employee lifecycle, helping ensure policies, procedures and people practices are effective, compliant and aligned with the needs of the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and updatingHR policies and procedures
Managing and supportingperformance management processes and employee reviews
Reviewingemployee entitlements, employment conditions and HR practices
Providing advice and support onemployee relations and workplace issues
Dealing with Unions
Assisting managers with difficult conversations, performance concerns and disciplinary matters
Supporting the business withHR compliance and best-practice processes
Providing practical advice around employee management,



conduct and workplace expectations
Reviewing employment processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
Supporting the business with general HR matters as they arise
Acting as a trusted HR point of contact for both management and employees
About You
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is comfortable operating in a hands-on, operational environment.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience as anHR Business Partner, HR Advisor or similar
Solid knowledge ofperformance management and employee relations
Experience reviewing and implementingHR policies and procedures
A sound understanding ofemployee entitlements and workplace legislation
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
The confidence to deal with challenging employee matters professionally and fairly
A practical, solutions-focused approach to HR
Experience withinconstruction, traffic management, labour hire, civil or a similar industrywould be highly regarded
Experience working with or aroundCFMEU / construction industry environmentswould be advantageous
Hours & Location
Part-time: ***** hours per week
Ideally spread across4–5 days per week
Office-based role
