Certificate III Engineering – Heavy Fabrication (Boilermaker) Apprentice

Are you looking to kick‐start your career in engineering and become a qualified Boilermaker?
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team and gain hands‐on experience across a wide range of industries and engineering projects.
As a 1st Year Certificate III Engineering – Heavy Fabrication (Boilermaking) Apprentice, you'll work across both workshop and site environments, learning from highly experienced tradespeople while developing a broad range of practical engineering and fabrication skills.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be exposed to a wide variety of work, including:
Fabrication and sheet metal work
Welding and mechanical components
Machine maintenance across a variety of industries
Machine installation and relocation
Modification and design of machinery
Shutdown work
Machining and optical alignments
Rigging and pipe work
General engineering and maintenance tasks
Problem‐solving and fault‐finding
Working safely on‐site and in the workshop
No two days will necessarily be the same, giving you the prospect to develop a wide range of skills and experience throughout your apprenticeship.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
Committed to completing their apprenticeship and learning the trade
Interested in engineering, machinery, welding and mechanical components
Confident with Mathematics and English
Able to communicate effectively,



both verbally and in writing
Well presented, enthusiastic and reliable
Detail‐oriented and willing to learn
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Committed to working safely and following all site WHS requirements
Willing to undertake regional travel as part of a supervised team
Keen to develop practical skills and build a long‐term career in engineering
