Public Sector People are partnering with a Melbourne council to recruit an experienced Senior Statutory Planner to join their team on a temporary contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced planner to step into a busy statutory planning team, managing more complex applications and providing high-quality planning advice across the municipality.
The Role
Assess and process complex planning and subdivision applications
Manage planning permits, amendments, extensions and Section 173 Agreements
Prepare clear and concise delegate and Council reports
Provide technical planning advice to internal and external stakeholders
Represent Council at VCAT where required
Support and mentor other members of the planning team
Work collaboratively across Council to achieve positive planning outcomes
About You
Tertiary qualification in Town Planning
3+ years' statutory planning experience
Victorian Local Government experience highly regarded
Robust knowledge of the Victorian planning framework and legislation
Experience managing complex planning applications
Confident stakeholder management, negotiation and report-writing skills
Current Victorian driver's licence
