Public Sector People are partnering with a Sydney Council to recruit aRecords Coordinatorfor a12 month contract.
The successful candidate will support a range of records management activities, with a focus on:
Identifyingretention, archival and disposal requirementsfor physical records
Conductingrecords appraisal and sentencingin line with relevant legislation and disposal authorities
Boxing, listing, registering, archiving and closing files within theElectronic Document Management (EDM) system
Ensuring records are managed, maintained and disposed of in accordance with established processes and legislative requirements
Supporting the organisation with accurate and effective records management practices

This role would suit someone with strongLocal Government records management experiencewho enjoys working independently, analysing information and applying legislation and disposal authorities to practical records management requirements.
Do you have:
Demonstrated experience inrecords appraisal and sentencing, preferably within Local Government
Sound knowledge ofState Records legislation and Disposal Authorities, particularly those applicable to Local Government
Experience working withEDM systems and records management processes
Robust analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and the ability to work independently
The ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively to a project workplace

Contract:12 months
Location:Sydney CBD
Rate:$440 per day + super
Start:ASAP
