The Opportunity
We are currently representing a well-established and growingTier 3 commercial construction businessin Melbourne that is looking to add aContract Administratorto their team.
With a robust pipeline of work and a deliberate move into larger and more complex projects, this is an opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth and play a genuine role in its continued development.
The business has traditionally delivered projects in the$1M–$15M rangeand is now targeting projects up to approximately$30M, creating opportunities for ambitious CAs to work on larger projects and progress their careers alongside the growth of the company.

They work with a combination ofgovernment departments, universities, councils, institutional clients and private-sector clients, giving the team exposure to a broad range of construction environments.
The Role
As aContract Administrator, you will work closely with the Project Manager and broader project team across the commercial and contractual delivery of projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing subcontractor procurement and letting packages
Preparing scopes of works and subcontract documentation
Reviewing and assessing subcontractor claims
Processing progress claims and variations




Managing variations, EOTs and contractual correspondence
Cost tracking and forecasting
Maintaining project budgets and financial reporting
Subcontractor negotiation and relationship management
Reviewing contracts and commercial risk
Assisting with project programming and procurement
Working closely with the PM and site team to ensure commercial and construction requirements are aligned
Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting
Supporting the project from procurement through to completion and final account
Project Exposure
The business delivers projects across a variety of sectors, with previous and current work includinguniversity facilities, education projects, community infrastructure, childcare, health and commercial developments.
The company is also expanding intolarger $5M–$30M projects, meaning there is scope for the successful candidate to gain exposure to progressively larger and more complex builds.
There is also an expanding pipeline ofpharmaceutical projects, including work outside Victoria, providing further opportunities as the business grows.
What They're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with CAs who have:
3+ years' experiencein a commercial construction environment
Experience working for aTier 2,



Tier 3 or reputable commercial builder
Strong subcontractor management and procurement experience
Good understanding of contracts, variations, claims and EOTs
Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
Good communication and negotiation skills
The ability to work closely with both PMs and Site Managers
A genuine interest in progressing their construction career
A construction-related qualification is preferred, although relevant practical experience will also be considered.
