The Network, part of Sovereign Capability Group, is continuing to build a specialist Technology and Defence recruitment practice in Sydney.
This is an opportunity for an experienced recruiter to help shape a growing business at the intersection of Defence, national security, technology, and sovereign industrial capability.

The company is an experienced recruitment and workforce solutions business with a strong contractor base, government and commercial relationships, and a growing presence across Technology and Defence.
Through Sovereign Capability Group, we are also connected to broader capability areas, including the defence industry, engineering, mission-critical technology, AI, nuclear supply chain services, and sovereign capability programs.
We are looking for a commercially minded Recruitment Consultants with recruitment experience to develop client relationships, identify workforce needs, build trusted talent networks and convert market opportunities into sustainable revenue.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of clients across technology, consulting, financial services, healthcare, retail and emerging AI businesses.
This will include existing relationships, warm introductions and proactive business development across enterprise organisations, scale-ups, consultancies and technology vendors.
With multiple opportunities available,



you will manage permanent and contract recruitment engagements across one of our specialist practice areas, including Cyber Security, Data & AI, Cloud & Infrastructure, and Project Services, partnering with leading organisations to build high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Build and manage client relationships
Develop a territory plan covering existing accounts, target clients and priority relationships
Generate new business through disciplined sales activity, referrals, account development and market mapping
Identify, attract and manage high-quality professionals across permanent and contract markets
Develop and maintain candidate networks
Work closely with clients to understand workforce planning, skills requirements and hiring priorities
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from client qualification through to offer, placement and onboarding
Maintain accurate CRM, pipeline, activity and account information
Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies and talent availability
Contribute to the growth of a specialist recruitment practice in Sydney
About You
You may already be an experienced technology recruiter or come from a recruitment background with exposure to data, digital, software engineering,



cloud or analytics recruitment.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience in recruitment, account management or business development
Experience recruiting within Technology or Skilled Services markets
Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with both technical and senior business stakeholders
Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client and candidate relationships
Commercial discipline with the ability to manage activity, pipeline and revenue outcomes
A proactive and consultative approach to business development
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
High personal standards, resilience and a willingness to build market presence
Existing networks within Technology sectors will be highly regarded
