Since ****, PLAYFAIR has been contracted by the Australian Commonwealth Government to provide immigration assistance to asylum seekers, refugees, and disadvantaged humanitarian applicants—both onshore and offshore.
About the Role
The employee is expected to fulfil the specific duties, as outlined by the CEO and senior management, which from time to time will include any or all the duties listed below.
Provide comprehensive legal advice and assistance to corporate clients and individuals across a range of visa subclasses
Assume carriage of a caseload consisting primarily of employer sponsored, family and skilled visa matters
Prepare, review and lodge visa applications and other migration-related applications (such as skills assessments, requests for merits review, etc.)




Manage the progress of client files from beginning to end
Liaise with clients, the Department of Home Affairs and external organisations where appropriate
Work within established routines, methods and procedures, exercise discretion and maintain confidential information
Maintain accurate files in accordance with protocols for LEAP Migration Manager
Skills & Experience
Minimum 3-5 years experience in immigration law, specifically in the areas of employer sponsored, family and/or skilled visas
Experience in litigation / Federal Court matters highly beneficial
Familiarity with Migration Manager an advantage
Sound understanding of Australian immigration laws, regulations and visa application processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
Current legal practicing certificate or admission as a Registered Migration Agent
