Vikram Homes is an established residential construction business based in Yarrabilba, Queensland, undertaking residential building projects across the greater Brisbane Metropolitan and surrounding regions, QLD.
Due to continued business growth and increasing project requirements, we are seeking a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Bricklayer to join our team on a full-time basis (38 hrs per week).

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per annum + super
Full-time, ongoing employment
Salary of $80,000–$85,000 + superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience

Task & responsibilities
Laying bricks, blocks and other masonry materials to build residential walls;
Reading and interpreting building plans, drawings and specificationsto determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.
Cutting and trimming bricks using hand and power tools;
Restoring, cleaning existing brick structures
Setting out and preparing areas for brickwork
Measuring and marking surfaces and determining material requirements
Mixing and applying mortar
Constructing walls,



partitions, foundations and other masonry structures
Cutting and shaping bricks and masonry materials as required
checking vertical and horizontal alignment of bricks and is completed to required standards
Repairing and maintaining existing brickwork where required
Working effectively with builders, supervisors and other trades
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work setting
Comply with workplace health and safety requirements
Qualification & experience
Certificate III in Bricklaying/Bricklaying and Blocklaying (or equivalent recognised trade qualification) – mandatory
Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience working as a Bricklayer in the residential construction industry – mandatory
Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
Sound knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials and construction practices
Ability to accurately measure, set out and complete brickwork
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Applicants who do not hold the required Certificate III qualification and at least one year of relevant residential construction experience will not be considered.
