Located in Strathalbyn, South Australia, this is a full time workshop-based position for a qualified Metal Fabricator. The role is predominantly workshop based and supports all areas with metal fabrication and maintenance, including but not limited to, the Building and Construction, Transport and Agricultural industries.
Skills & Abilities Required
Welding experience in mig, tig & stick desirable
Experience in operating workshop machinery, eg lathe, press brake, drill press, folding machine, desirable
Experience with the use of power and hand tools
Keeping your work areas organised and tidy
Ensuring optimum safety, efficiency & quality
Other duties as required
About you
Engineering Tradesperson / Metal Fabrication qualification (Certificate 3 desirable)
Welding experience in mig, tig & stick desirable
Experience with the use of power and hand tools
Experience operating workshop machinery desirable
Forklift licence desirable but not essential
Understanding of WHS requirements or robust ability to follow instruction and abide by all WHS safety laws
Motivation and willingness to learn recent skills
Able to work alone but also as a team player
Excellent communication skills
Must be punctual and trustworthy
