About the Role

Nepean Hospital is seeking a senior Consultant Psychiatrist to lead its Older Persons Mental Health Unit. This position combines direct clinical care with strategic leadership, supporting inpatient and community services for older adults with complex conditions.

Key responsibilities include
Providing psychiatric care to older adults in inpatient and community settings
Leading governance, service development, and quality improvement
Mentoring junior medical staff
Working with teams to deliver person-centred, culturally secure care
