Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (0.8 FTE)

Salary: $222,789 – $319,701 p.a. (pro rata) + 12% super + benefits

About the Role A rewarding chance for a Staff Specialist in General Pathology within a public pathology service supporting a major referral hospital in Northern Tasmania. You will work in a team-oriented, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality pathology services to hospitals, specialists, and the community. The role offers a diverse case mix in a well-regarded regional tertiary setting, with strong opportunities for career development and service improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality general pathology services
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
Contribute to service development and quality improvement
Participate in career development and academic activities
Support service delivery to hospital and community stakeholders

Essential Criteria
Specialist registration (or eligibility) in Pathology




IMGs on a recognised specialist pathway considered
Strong diagnostic, communication, and teamwork skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Experience in Anatomical, Cytopathology or Chemical Pathology (desirable)
