Director of Cardiology – Specialist Cardiac Service

Location: Launceston, Tasmania

Employment Type: Fixed Term Part time

Salary: $222,789 – $319,701 p.a. (pro rata) + allowances (total package up to $500K+)

About the Role

Lead a major cardiac service delivering care across northern Tasmania. You will provide executive leadership for the Northern Heart Centre, overseeing strategy, clinical governance, and operational performance while ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care aligned with statewide priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Lead clinical and administrative operations
Drive service planning and development
Build partnerships with clinicians and stakeholders
Oversee governance, quality improvement, and risk management

Essential Criteria
Specialist or limited registration in Cardiology (Australia)
IMG candidates on a specialist pathway or with recognised qualifications




Experience in clinical leadership and governance
