Smallgoods Maker

Vic’s Meat | Mascot Vic’s Meat is looking for an experienced Smallgoods Maker to join our production team in Mascot.

This is a hands-on role for someone who knows smallgoods production and is comfortable working across different products, equipment and processes.

About the role

You’ll be involved in:
Preparing meat for seasoning, curing and production
Making sausages, ham, bacon, cured meats and other smallgoods
Mixing seasonings, spices, salts and other ingredients
Operating mincers, grinders, mixers, tumblers, fillers, clippers and other production equipment
Using smoking, cooking and curing equipment
Following recipes and production specifications
Checking product quality and consistency
Preparing finished products for distribution
Helping with production planning and stock requirements
Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised
Working across different areas of production when needed

About you

We’re looking for someone who has:




Around 3 years or more experience in smallgoods, meat processing or industrial butchery
Experience using meat-processing equipment
A good understanding of curing, filling, smoking and cooked meat production
Valuable food safety and hygiene practices
Strong attention to detail
A reliable and practical attitude
The ability to work well with the team
Pride in producing a quality product
