About the role
We're seeking an experienced Landfill Operator to join a government client based in Coffs Harbour.
This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day landfill operations, operating mobile plant and working safely in a busy waste management environment.
This is a casual role offering full time hours (38 per week) across a 7-day rotating roster, typically working 7:00am-5:30pm on weekdays and 7:30am-4:30pm on weekends and public holidays (and if you're a strong candidate but can't commit to weekends, we still encourage you to apply).
Duties
Safe operation of landfill plant and machinery (site-based mobile plant)
General landfill / waste station operations and support as required
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following site procedures




Completing routine checks and reporting faults/incidents promptlyWorking to WHS requirements and supporting safe traffic / site movements
Skills and Experience
Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum 2 years' previous experience and relevant tickets on at least one of the following:Waste Compactor
Track Loader
Excavator
Front-end Loader
White Card (Construction Induction)
Current NSW HR licence
Desirable
Waste facility / landfill experience
Strong safety focus and confidence working outdoors in a team environment
