Senior Network & Firewall Engineer – Fortinet | Sydney

Hybrid – 2–3 Days WFH | On-Site Parking | $165–190K Super We’re partnering with a leading enterprise organisation seeking a Senior Network & Firewall Engineer with strong, hands-on Fortinet FortiGate experience.

This is a hands-on engineering role, with a major focus on Fortinet firewall migration projects, implementation and complex troubleshooting. You’ll work across enterprise production and DR environments, including planned after-hours/nighttime migrations.

The Role
Deliver complex Fortinet firewall migrations and cutovers
Configure and implement FortiGate / FortiOS
Work across HA, clustering and multiple VDOMs
Manage Fortinet environments using FortiManager / ADOMs
Configure and troubleshoot static and dynamic routing
Troubleshoot complex firewall, routing, NAT and VPN issues
Develop migration, implementation and rollback plans
Work across production and DR environments
Manage changes through formal enterprise change processes
Produce technical documentation and implementation plans

About You
Approximately 8 years’ network engineering experience
Strong,



hands-on Fortinet / FortiGate experience
Solid communication and documentation skills
Proven experience delivering enterprise firewall migrations
Solid troubleshooting skills across Fortinet, routing and network security
Experience with HA, VDOMs, FortiManager and ADOMs
Robust knowledge of BGP, OSPF, NAT, VPNs and firewall policies
Comfortable working across production and DR environments
Able to develop and execute detailed migration and rollback plans

Fortinet certifications are highly regarded but not essential.

Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco firewalls, MSPs, Systems Integrators or enterprise/data-centre environments will also be valued. Why Apply?
