Ideal Cabinets is seeking afully qualified Cabinet Makerto join our team on a full-time basis.
This is a varied role involving bothfactory manufacturing and onsite installation, primarily working onhigh-end residential and custom architectural cabinetry.
The position is38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with ordinary working hours of7:00 am – 3:00 pm, and a6:30 am start on Wednesdaysto make up the 38-hour week.
We offerwell above Award wages, with the hourly rate negotiated based on the successful applicant's skills and experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Manufacture and assemble custom cabinetry in accordance with architectural plans and technical drawings
Produce consistently high-quality work with a strong focus on detail and a first-class finish
Liaise with the Operations Manager and Design Manager regarding allocated work, plans and job-specific requirements
Complete onsite installation of cabinetry and joinery as required
Assist with the supervision and training of apprentices and junior staff when required
Identify and resolve manufacturing or installation issues as they arise
Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area, including the appropriate disposal of waste and offcuts

About you
We are looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker who takes pride in their workmanship and can confidently work across both manufacturing and installation.
The successful applicant will have:
A recognised qualification inCabinet Making
Previous experience as a qualified Cabinet Maker, with2+ years' post-qualification experience preferred
Experience in custom or high-end residential cabinetry highly regarded
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship
The ability to confidently read and interpret architectural plans and technical drawings
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Positive organisational and time-management skills
A reliable and professional approach to work
Their own set of appropriate hand tools
A current driver's licence
A currentConstruction Induction Card (White Card or valid Victorian Red Card)for onsite work
Must be Physically Fit and able to lift up to 20kg
