About the role:
n
This is an exciting opportunity for a friendly, enthusiastic and community-minded person to play an important role in promoting our region and creating positive experiences for visitors and residents.
n
In this role, you will provide high-quality visitor information and tourism services, helping visitors discover local attractions, events, businesses and experiences. You'll be a welcoming and knowledgeable point of contact, sharing local insights and helping people make the most of their time in the region.
n
You will also provide operational support to Calico Cottage, working in accordance with Council's Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), while assisting with the coordination and administration of community facility hire and activation.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome visitors with a friendly, qualified approach and provide helpful, engaging information about the region.
n
Be a local tourism champion by showcasing attractions, experiences, events and hidden gems visitors won't want to miss.
n
Keep brochures, displays and visitor information fresh, accurate and inviting.
n
Support tourism events and promotional activities during core operating hours.
n
Help create a positive and memorable visitor experience from the moment people walk through the door.
n
Maintain a welcoming, well-presented facility that reflects Council and regional tourism standards.

Share your local knowledge and enthusiasm to help visitors make the most of their time in our region.

Permanent, Full-time Position
n
MaranoaRegional Council Certified Agreement **** - Stream A- Level 3 - $73,****** per annum
n
Maranoalocality allowance $***** per fortnight
n
Worka 9-day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off.
n
Access Long service leave after seven (7) years
n
Fiveweeks of annual leave annually
n
Ten weeks (full pay) paid parental leave, twenty weeks (half pay) paid parental leave
n
Threeweeks sick leave annually
n
