We're partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing organisation to appoint a Senior Financial Accountant into a newly created position. This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong accountant to step into a high-visibility role with significant ownership, international stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to help shape future finance processes.
The Opportunity
This role offers the best of both worlds, providing the opportunity to either be based in Ballarat or work on a hybrid basis from Melbourne, with a minimum of two days per week onsite. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, with a strong focus on consolidations, audit support and technical accounting.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading quarterly and annual group consolidation processes
Preparing consolidation schedules and supporting reporting packs
Managing month-end and year-end reporting activities
Supporting annual audit requirements and responding to audit queries
Applying IFRS accounting standards to complex reporting matters
Building strong relationships with local and international stakeholders
Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and controls




Assisting with technical accounting research and financial statement disclosures
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
CA qualified (or CPA with strong technical reporting experience)
Demonstrated experience in financial reporting and consolidations
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Australian Accounting Standards
Experience supporting external audit processes
Advanced Excel capability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, hands-on and collaborative approach
Prior experience with Pronto advantageous however not essential
You will enjoy working in a close-knit team environment and be comfortable partnering with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
