Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in finishes, refurbishments, and project close-out?

A highly regarded builder is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract based in Homebush, working on a large-scale refurbishment project. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable contractor and play a key role in driving the finishes package through to completion.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all finishes-related activities across the project, ensuring quality, programme, and stakeholder expectations are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all finishes trades and subcontractors.
Manage programme, quality, defect rectification, and project close-out activities.
Conduct inspections and ensure works are delivered to specification.
Monitor progress and drive productivity across multiple work fronts.
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and site management teams.
Manage RFIs, documentation,



and reporting requirements.
Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with site procedures.

About You
Proven experience as a Project Engineer on commercial refurbishment or fit-out projects.
Strong finishes and defects management experience.
Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and stakeholders.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Solid understanding of quality assurance and project close-out processes.
Relevant construction qualification.
