MAXAM Australia specialises in the supply of explosives and associated services to the mining, quarrying and civil construction industries. We have a full time opportunity for a Plant Operator within our manufacturing plant based in Bajool, 30km south of Rockhampton.

About the Role – Plant Operator

MAXAM Australia is seeking a Plant Operator to join our well-established production crew based at Bajool, QLD.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Plant Operator plays a critical role in supporting safe, productive, and high-quality production operation. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role, working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with the secure and efficient delivery of day-to-day production services
Loading and transfer of the products
Handling and use of chemicals in accordance with procedures and legislation
Maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and housekeeping
Working collaboratively as part of a site-based production crew
Adhering to all company, site, and regulatory requirements

About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Able to work Monday to Friday from 06:00am - 02:00pm with occasional extra working hours including occasional Saturdays.
A positive attitude toward training and continuous learning
Reliability, motivation, and a strong work ethic
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Willingness to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions

Licences & Requirements

Ideally, you will hold or be willing to obtain:
Open Driver’s Licence (essential)
Police Clearance Certificate (essential)
Must hold Forklift High Risk Work (HRW) License with experience operating forklifts and working within a manufacturing workplace (essential)

Due to the nature of the role, successful applicants must be able to:
Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
Meet all ongoing compliance and clearance requirements
