The Chance
Our client is a rapidly growing Australian energy retailer with a strong reputation for competitive products, customer service and innovation.
They are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to lead and embed a practical, commercially focused approach to regulatory compliance.
You will work across the organisation to ensure customer-facing and internal processes remain compliant, effective, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of an effective compliance program across the organisation.
Ensure the compliance framework aligns with applicable energy legislation, industry standards and state-based regulatory requirements.
Manage compliance plans, registers, incidents, breaches, investigations, and remediation activities.
Review systems, policies, and operational processes to identify risks, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
Develop scalable compliance solutions that protect customers while supporting commercial and operational objectives.
Prepare scheduled regulatory reports and respond to requests and enquiries from regulators.




Work with distributors and internal stakeholders to resolve customer and billing-related compliance matters.
About You
You will bring:
Demonstrated regulatory compliance experience within the utilities or energy retail sector.
Experience managing customer, billing, and operational compliance matters.
A sound understanding of the regulatory framework governing Australian energy retailers.
Experience managing compliance incidents, breaches, investigations, reporting, and remediation.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a willingness to examine operational processes closely.
Experience participating in regulatory consultations or managing regulatory change programs will be highly regarded.
