Hours:5 days per week - 1 from home | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
About the Role
A well-established and growing construction business is looking for anexperienced Payroll Specialistto join its finance team.
The role will initially focus on payroll processingduring a system implementation and automation phase.
Over time, the payroll process will become more streamlined, making this a great opportunity to be part of an important transformation.
With a workforce of100+ employees across NSW and QLD,under complexEBA agreements, attention to detail and a strong understanding ofaward interpretationare essential.
Experience withconstruction awards or similarly complex EBAswill be highly valuable.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly payroll, including manual calculations forredundancies, entitlements, and resignations.
Ensure compliance withEBA conditions, overtime, RDOs, penalties, and allowances.
Export payroll data fromDeputy to MYOBand complete pay runs.
Work withina changing payroll setting, as systems and processes are improved and automated.
Maintain payroll records and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy in superannuation and payments.
Communicate withsite managers and employeesto resolve payroll queries.
Assist withend-of-financial-year payroll updates,



including tax table and EBA increases.
What We're Looking For:
End-to-end payroll experience******** employees preferred).
Construction, union, or complex EBA payroll exposure(highly regarded).
StrongExcel & Google Sheetsskills (pivot tables a plus).
High level ofadaptability, patience, and resilienceto navigate the system implementation phase.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to workautonomously, meet deadlines, and handle competing priorities.
Aresilient communicatorwho can provide professional payroll support to employees.
