About the Role n
Reporting to senior leadership, the Finance Operations Manager will support the effective management of finance operations, ensuring strong financial governance, robust payment processes and accurate financial reporting.
n
This role would suit a finance professional with several years of relevant experience who is ready to broaden their commercial exposure across finance operations, acquisitions, contracts and significant commercial activities.
n
A key component of the role will be supporting
major commercial projects and initiatives
, providing valuable exposure to project financial management and strategic business activities.
n
Experience with audited accounts is essential.
Exposure to




foreign currency and/or commodity markets
would also be highly advantageous, given the nature of the organisation and its commercial activities.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Manage day-to-day finance operations, reporting and financial controls.
n
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payment processes and cash flow.
n
Ensure accurate, timely and compliant payment processes.
n
Prepare management reports, budgets and forecasts.
n
Provide financial insights and support to senior management.
n
Assist with the financial management and reporting of significant commercial projects.
n
Support acquisitions, due diligence and integration activities.
n
Review and monitor commercial contracts from a financial and operational perspective.
n
Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
n
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and controls.
n
Support efficient and scalable finance operations.
n
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation and internal policies.
n
About You n
You will be a motivated finance professional with several years of relevant experience and a desire to develop your career in a commercially focused resources environment.
n
You will ideally bring:
n
n
Experience in finance operations,



financial management or a similar role.
n
Demonstrated experience with audited accounts – essential.
n
Experience managing payment processes and financial controls.
n
Experience with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
n
Exposure to acquisitions, due diligence or business integration.
n
An understanding of contracts and commercial agreements.
n
Experience with, or an interest in, project finance and significant commercial activities.
n
Exposure to foreign currency and/or commodity markets – highly advantageous.
n
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Excellent attention to detail and financial integrity.
n
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. CPA/CA would be highly regarded.
