About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Web Developer who lives and breathes PHP and WordPress to join us on a part time basis. If you enjoy building polished websites, solving real problems with clean code, and want flexibility without the full-time grind — this role is for you.

You'll work on live projects from our office, ship improvements that users actually notice, and have direct ownership of what you build.

What You'll Do
Write clean, productive PHP that's easy for the next developer to pick up
Build and maintain WordPress sites, including custom themes and plugins (not just installing pre-built ones)
Create responsive front-ends using HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap 5.3
Design and optimize MySQL databases — queries that don't slow the site down at scale
Debug, troubleshoot, and improve existing code (yes, including the messy stuff)
Keep performance, security, and scalability front of mind
Collaborate in-person with designers, PMs, and other developers

What You Bring Must-have:
Solid PHP skills — you can read, write, and refactor confidently
Strong, demonstrable WordPress development experience (custom work, not just page-builders)
HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap 5.3




MySQL — comfortable with schema design and writing efficient queries
Git or similar version control
3+ years hands-on web development

Nice to have:
API integration experience (REST, third-party services)
SEO fundamentals
Web security best practices (sanitization, auth, common vulnerabilities)
