We are seeking a hands-on Operator Maintainer with a Mechanical Fitter trade qualification to join our tailings reclamation and reprocessing team. This is a physically active, site-based role combining mobile plant operation with practical mechanical maintenance support in a fast-paced mining environment.

Role Overview In this role, you will operate key equipment used in tailings reprocessing while also carrying out day-to-day mechanical maintenance and breakdown support across the circuit. You will be directly involved in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently, supporting production targets and recovery performance.

Key Responsibilities
Operate mobile and fixed plant equipment including skid steers and tailings delivery systems
Support operation of tailings cannons and associated pipeline infrastructure
Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and basic repairs on pumps, pipelines, and ancillary equipment
Assist with installation, relocation, and stripping of pipework and pumping systems
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and contribute to shutdown activities
Ensure secure work practices, compliance with site procedures, and high housekeeping standards
Support barricading, set-up, and general site maintenance activities as required





About You
Comfortable working in a physically demanding, outdoor environment
Previous exposure to mining, processing plants, civil, agriculture, or heavy industry
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in maintenance or mobile plant environments
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (essential)
Hands-on, practical operator who enjoys varied work across both operations and maintenance
Safety-focused with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
