About the role:

As a Marketing Specialist, you will focus on market research, content creation, campaign management, and data analysis to drive business growth and promote conferences. It also involves negotiating partnerships and maintaining accurate CRM records.

Tasks and responsibilities:
Undertaking market research to identify market opportunities, consumer patterns and trends
Identify ongoing challenges, trends and needs in a variety of sectors
Topic generation based on market needs
Communicate effectively with interdepartmental teams and external stakeholders
Supporting business growth through the preparation and execution of marketing
strategies and campaigns
Develop marketing content to support sales and marketing campaigns
Analyse data in relation to attendee patterns and preferences
Write the copy for marketing collateral including emails, brochures, Akolade blogs and website

Essential criteria:



At least 5 years of relevant marketing experience with a strong customer focus and proven ability to generate topics and develop impactful campaigns.

Experience in the learning events and conference industry is essential.

Strong writing skills are required or a bachelor’s degree in literature is highly regarded.

To be successful in this role you will need:
A university bachelor’s degree in a related field
5 years of relevant experience
Experience in project management
Knowledge of the learning event industry and its specificities
A passionate attitude and a 'can-do' mindset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Solid research and content generation skills
Reliable and able to take initiative while multitasking
Able to articulate market research into compelling program content
A keen eye for detail
Exceptional business acumen and analytical skills

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
