You will ideally have experience in the following areas:
Trade mark portfolio management;
Responses to Examination Reports trade mark oppositions and removal actions;
Software licensing and technology agreements;
Data privacy compliance and privacy policy drafting;
Intellectual property enforcement and brand protection strategies;
Artificial intelligence related legal issues;
Australian Consumer Law compliance; and
Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.

Essential personal attributes for the role include excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be commercially and results oriented, and capable of assessing a client’s risk appetite and developing practical and cutting-edge solutions to complex legal issues. Strong drafting, negotiation and client relationship management skills are required. An interest in business development and client relationship management would be highly regarded.
