Key responsibilities

Reviewing civil and earthworks plans, scopes and specifications
n
Completing quantities, measurements and material take-offs
n
Preparing cost estimates for labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
n
Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
n
Assisting with tender pricing and submissions
n
Reviewing project documentation and identifying scope requirements
n
Assisting with variations and project cost estimates
n
Maintaining tender registers and estimating records
n
Uploading and submitting tenders through external project portals
n
Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams
n
n
About you
n
n
Experience in civil construction, earthworks or estimating
n
An understanding of civil construction methods and terminology
n
The ability to read and interpret civil drawings and plans
n
Strong numerical and analytical skills
n




Excellent attention to detail
n
Good Excel and computer skills
n
Robust communication and organisational skills
n
The ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tenders
n
A genuine interest in developing a career in civil estimating
n
Experience with Bluebeam, Expert Estimation, estimating software or similar will be highly regarded
n
