The Opportunity
n
A leading commercial builder is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a major data centre project in Melbourne's western suburbs.
n Working closely with the project team and subcontractors, you will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards across a fast-paced site environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on safety skilled who enjoys being on site, building relationships and driving positive safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
n

Conduct daily site inspections and safety walks
n
Monitor subcontractor compliance and site safety performance
n
Facilitate site inductions and onboarding
n
Review SWMS and risk assessments
n
Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings
n




Investigate incidents, near misses and corrective actions
n
Maintain safety documentation and reporting
n
Support project audits and client safety requirements
n
Manage safety records and compliance systems
n
Coach supervisors and subcontractors on safety best practice
n
Promote a proactive and positive safety culture
n
n
About You
n
n
3+ years' experience as a Safety Advisor within commercial, industrial or major construction projects
n
Strong knowledge of Victorian construction safety requirements
n
Experience working for a head contractor or major subcontractor
n
Confident working in live construction environments with multiple trades
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
Experienced with digital safety management systems
n
Practical, solutions-focused and highly visible on site
