About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll lead finance across our development, construction and property entities. You'll be a hands-on leader and a trusted adviser to the executive team, and you'll provide independent assurance over our financial controls.

Key responsibilities
Deliver monthly management accounts, group reporting and annual statutory financials, and coordinate external audits
Manage tax compliance: income tax, GST/BAS, payroll tax, land tax and FBT
Lead treasury, cashflow forecasting, banking relationships, funding submissions and covenant reporting
Oversee project accounting, feasibilities, cost-to-complete and construction claims
Ensure compliance with BIF legislation, QBCC requirements and Project Trust Accounts
Lead the annual budget, forecasts, board reporting and scenario modelling
Run a risk-based internal audit program and maintain Delegation of Authority and fraud controls
Lead and develop the finance team and outsourced accounting providers

About you
CPA or CA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
8+ years' post-qualification experience,



including 3+ years as a Financial Controller or equivalent
Property development or construction finance experience
Solid knowledge of Australian tax, AASB standards and development funding
Familiarity with QBCC, BIF and PTA requirements
Experience in internal audit or controls testing (CIA or Big 4 / mid-tier audit background a plus)
A commercial mindset, high integrity and the confidence to challenge
