About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experiencedQualified Social Workerto joinNorthamptonshire Children's Trust, working within their specialistChildren in Care – Court Team.
This is a specialist role based acrossKettering and Northampton, with the successful Social Worker responsible for managing a caseload involvingcourt proceedingsand supporting children and families throughout the court process.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a caseload ofcourt proceedings
Completingparenting assessments
Completingrisk assessments
Completingviability assessments
Preparingcourt statements and final evidence
Preparing and reviewingcare plans
Managing court proceedings and attendingcourt hearings
Working collaboratively with children, families, legal professionals and other agencies
Ensuring all assessments, reports and records are completed to a high professional standard
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker
CurrentSocial Work England registration
Substantial and recent experience of court work




Proven experience managingChildren in Care court proceedings
Experience completingparenting, risk and viability assessments
Experience preparingcourt statements, final evidence and care plans
Confidence attending and participating incourt hearings
Please note: This is not a generic Children in Care role.
Applicants must have direct and recent experience of court work.
