Laser Wizard Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Draftsperson with a background in sheet metal manufacturing to join our team in St Marys, NSW. This full time role is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed production drawings, flat patterns and CAD files for a range of sheet metal and engineering projects. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will work closely with Estimating, Production and clients to ensure designs are practical, accurate and ready for manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed and accurate technical drawings for the sheet metal components and assemblies using Inventor and AutoCAD.
Communicate with clients and collaborating with internal teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally
Collaborate with the office team to ensure smooth operations and effective workflow




Utilize your mechanical aptitude to understand and assist with technical aspects of the production process
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
Obtain a detailed insight into and assist in the pre-production process

Skills & Experience required:
Experience in sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, bending, welding, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams
Advanced/Expert level of Computer literacy and proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD is required.
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes
Ability to produce detailed workshop, fabrication and assembly drawings
Experience with nesting / programming software taken with high regard
