Major Furnace Australia Pty Ltd is located in Clayton South and since 1912 has been providing cutting-edge engineering solutions in the field of thermal and mineral processing, refractory and dust and fume extraction.

Due to an ever-increasing workload, we are seeking a self-motivated, versatile Mechanical Fitter to join our team.

About the Job

· Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling and cutting.

· Understand the specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.

· Assembly of combustion-related equipment, such as furnaces

· Pipe fitting.

· Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality. About You

· Must be punctual and reliable.





· A positive attitude and a team player who takes ownership of their work.

· Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter.

· A strong commitment to health and safety and environmental procedures.

· Exceptional Fault Finding & problem-solving skills.

· Must have previous welding experience. The following will also be highly regarded.

· Forklift licence.

Day shift is between 6:00 am till 2:30 pm.

Annual salary of $79,423.00 + 12% Superannuation

Pay: $79,423.00 per year
