Frontline Human Resources is looking for an experienced, people-focused Field Officer to join our growing Victorian Group Training Organisation (GTO) team.
n
This is a hands‐on role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the careers of apprentices while building strong relationships with host employers across a range of industries and projects.

As a Field Officer, you'll manage a portfolio of apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey - supporting their development, monitoring their progress and wellbeing, working closely with host employers, and ensuring training and compliance requirements remain on track.

About the role
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Managing and supporting a portfolio of apprentices across multiple host employers
n




Conducting regular workplace and site visits with apprentices and supervisors
n
Mentoring apprentices and supporting their development throughout their apprenticeship
n
Building strong, professional relationships with existing host employers
n
Working with host employers to identify workforce requirements and placement opportunities
n
Monitoring apprentice performance, attendance, conduct and workplace progress
n
Supporting apprentices through workplace challenges and proactively addressing issues before they escalated
n
Coordinating apprentice placements, transfers, returns and host movements
n
Monitoring trade school attendance, training progress, profiling and apprenticeship milestones
n
Working closely with RTOs, employers and other stakeholders to keep apprentices progressing toward completion
n
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring GTO compliance requirements are met
n
Supporting workplace health and safety requirements and escalating concerns where required
n
Working collaboratively with our recruitment, administration, payroll and operational teams
n
Contributing to the continued growth and development of Frontline's apprenticeship and GTO operations
n

About you
n
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and can build credibility with everyone from a first‐year apprentice through to site supervisors,



project managers and business owners.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Experience within apprenticeships, Group Training, recruitment, workforce management, employment services or a similar field‐based role
n
Strong relationship management and communication skills
n
The ability to mentor, coach and support young people in the workplace
n
Confidence dealing with employers and resolving workplace issues
n
Strong organisation and time‐management skills
n
The ability to manage a busy portfolio and competing priorities
n
A practical, solutions‐focused approach
n
Strong attention to compliance, documentation and follow‐up
n
The ability to work autonomously while remaining part of a broader operational team
n
A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to host employer sites across Melbourne and surrounding areas
n
n
Previous GTO, apprenticeship or vocational education experience will be highly regarded, but equally significant is your ability to build relationships, take ownership and provide a high level of support to both apprentices and clients.
