voco Gold Coast is looking for a Part-Time Commis Chef to join our talented Kitchen team. This is a fantastic prospect for someone who loves working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in what they create and wants to develop their skills alongside an experienced team.

A little taste of your day-to-day

As our Commis Chef, you’ll support the Kitchen team across daily food preparation and service, helping us deliver consistently great dining experiences for our guests.

You’ll be responsible for
Preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard
Supporting the kitchen team across preparation and service
Maintaining a clean, organised and protected work environment
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
Assisting with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste
Working collaboratively with chefs and the wider Food & Beverage team
Bringing a positive attitude and willingness to learn every shift

What we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who:
Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen,



ideally within a hotel or similar workplace
Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality
Works well as part of a busy, supportive team
Has robust attention to detail and takes pride in their work
Is reliable, organised and able to work under pressure
Has flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
Holds relevant cookery qualifications
