About the role

This is a hands-on dairy production role at LardAss Butter, a small family-run business making cultured butter and other dairy products in small batches in Ocean Grove. You'll be involved in the making, handling, packing and preparation of dairy products. Reporting to the Production Team Leader, the role combines the need for an excellent eye for detail and a willingness to get your hands dirty and get the job done, including cleaning and sanitisation of the production area, reporting, ordering, and all necessary auditing procedures required within a dairy food manufacturing facility.

Early starts and early finishes, with hours approximately 7am – 4pm Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities
Meet required quality and health & safety standards
Achieve scheduled operational day-to-day targets
Manufacturing and labeling with high accuracy and speed
Maintain a clean work area and update all production and cleaning logs
Support production schedule
Work efficiently and closely with the team to meet production deadlines
Perform routine in-process checks during production
Manufacture and Package products in accordance with specifications




Operate, monitor, and adjust manufacturing equipment
Ensure production is undertaken following all safety and quality standards

About you
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
Ability to work in a rapid-paced team environment
Robust problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
Solid communication skills
Certificate in food processing
Completion of secondary level studies
Previous experience in food or dairy production is helpful, but not essential
Some flexibility will be required in this position
