An opportunity is available for an experiencedEstimatorto join a well-established commercial fit-out and refurbishment contractor with a strong and consistent pipeline of work across Queensland.
The business delivers projects acrosshealthcare, education, commercial office, government, hospitality, retail and industrial, with significant experience delivering complex projects withinlive operating environments.
Tendering approximately$200M of work annually across Queensland, the business has built a strong reputation through repeat clients, negotiated opportunities and long-term relationships.
The Role
Working as part of an experienced estimating team, you will take ownership of tenders from initial review through to submission and handover.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leadingcomplex and high-value tenders
Preparing detailedcost plans, estimates and BOQs
Pricing projects generally ranging from$500K–$20M
ManagingLump Sum, D&C; and ECItender processes
Reviewing drawings, specifications and consultant documentation
Identifyingscope gaps, commercial risks and opportunities
Managing subcontractor pricing and trade coverage
Providingbuildability and value engineeringinput
Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal delivery teams
Supporting tender presentations, negotiations and project handovers
Mentoring and supporting junior estimators




About You
You will ideally have:
5+ years' estimating experiencewithin commercial construction
Strong experience acrosscommercial fit-out and refurbishment
DemonstratedDesign & Construct estimating experience
Exposure toECI and negotiated tendershighly regarded
Experience across healthcare, education, commercial, government, hospitality or retail projects
Strong knowledge of theBrisbane subcontractor and trade market
Strong commercial awareness and ability to assess tender risk
Experience usingBuildsoft or similar estimating software
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team
