Yard position available with an established and trusted recycling business in Osborne Park.

Our client is a well-established recycling business specialising in ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal and is looking for reliable, hardworking people to join their team.

We are seeking a Yard Hand, to assist with the day-to-day operation of the yard, including scrap metal handling, customer assistance, and machinery operation.

This position would suit someone looking for stable, ongoing full-time employment in a hands-on yard workplace.

Please Note – This Is a Physical, Hands-On Role

All successful applicants will be required to assist with general yard duties, including sorting, handling and moving scrap metal and other physical tasks as required. Applicants must therefore be physically capable of performing manual and general yard work, and being on their feet for periods of the day.

Key Responsibilities




Welcome and assist customers and visitors to the yard in a qualified and courteous manner.
Sort and grade various types of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal.
Assist with loading, unloading, moving and handling scrap metal and other materials.
Operate forklifts and other yard machinery safely.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Work cooperatively with the existing team to ensure the smooth running of daily yard operations.

What We're Looking For
Reliable, punctual and dependable.
Physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual work.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Basic computer skills and ability to complete digital forms/logs.
Previous experience in scrap metal, recycling, warehousing, transport or a similar environment would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Valid HR Licence – desirable but not essential.
Valid Forklift Licence – desirable but not essential.
