CHANCE TO MANAGE THE JULIA CREEK SWIMMING POOL AND AQUATIC CENTRE

McKinlay Shire Council invites expressions of interest from a motivated and community-minded individual, team, or business to take on the management of the Julia Creek Swimming Pool and Aquatic Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to operate a valued community facility, deliver quality aquatic services, and contribute to a safe, active, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Flexible operating hours apply and vary with seasonal demand, and a housing subsidy is available to the successful applicant.

The successful applicant will manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Swimming Pool and Aquatic Centre, including water quality, filtration systems, amenities, grounds maintenance, supervision of pool access, kiosk operations, and maintaining a facility that is safe, clean, and welcoming.



The opportunity also includes delivering Learn to Swim lessons and coordinating aquatic programs and activities that encourage community participation and make the most of the facility throughout the season.

The management arrangement is offered for a minimum term of 12 months, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months. Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, the required industry qualifications outlined in the information pack.

Expressions of Interest will be available from 22 September **** and close at 5:00 pm on 13 October ****, with discussions with shortlisted applicants to be conducted shortly after. The successful applicant is expected to commence the management arrangement in December ****.
