Footwork is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager with a background in Podiatry and/or Prosthetics/Orthotics to join our team.
As the Production Manager (Podiatrist/Orthotist), you will play a vital role in managing our production floor, ensuring the highest quality of orthotic devices while optimising processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
The successful applicant will work closely with 7 podiatrists, gaining a excellent deal of knowledge on both orthotics and biomechanics, as well as a comprehensive understanding of every step in our manufacturing process.
Based in Keysborough, Victoria, Footwork is the leading manufacturer of custom-made orthotics.
Originating as a small boutique lab catering to local podiatrists in Melbourne, Footwork has since g to become an international supplier to podiatry clinics worldwide.
With a strong emphasis on quality and customer service, Footwork has established itself as a trusted name in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Co-manage the production floor alongside other management staff.
Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve production efficiency and process optimisation.
Act as the primary clinical resource for our orthotic technicians, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Provide training and mentorship to production staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Understand and manage invoicing and dispatch systems and processes.
Key Criteria:
Must have completed a Podiatry/Prosthetics & Orthotics degree or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of podiatric principles and orthotic device fabrication techniques.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
